Deborah Freeman Danquah (Mrs.) hails from the Central Region of Ghana. She is a Gospel Minister, Entrepreneur, songwriter, Soloist, Labour Activist and Consultant-Informal Economy. She is Married with three children.

BACKGROUND
MUSIC:
I have four Gospel Albums. My maiden Album entitled Koko W’enyim,was launched in the year 2002 in Cape Coast. My second Album,(Wope Nye Ho), was launched in 2003. The 3rd Album ( Lo & Behold), was launched in the year 2008. The 4th Album(Jesus, You are my lover) was released in 2014.
I was a lead singer in the Echoes of Wesley singing group from the year 1998 and also a lead vocalist in the Christian Joyful Band from the year 2001.
I was a member of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) from 2001 to 2023. Since I joined MUSIGA, I served in different capacities: First, as Central Regional Secretary for two terms, National Secretariat Staff, Personal Assistant to past Presidents, and General Secretary for two terms. I was an aspiring President in 2022-
WORK EXPERIENCE
In my work life, I have represented the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) and other Organizations on various international and local platforms including the International Labour Organization (ILO), International Federation of Musicians (FIM), British Musicians Union, the Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations, the Ministry of Finance, the TUC (Ghana) to mention a few.
I am the founding General Secretary of the Union of Informal Workers’ Associations (UNIWA) of TUC (Ghana), a position I held for two terms from 2015-2023.
I have served on various Boards and Committees including the Workers’ Committee of the International Labour Organization(ILO) Conference, National Pensions Regulatory Authority Informal Economy Pensions Scheme Committee, Cocoa farmers Pension Scheme Committee spearheaded by the Ministry of Finance in collaboration with the National Pensions Regulatory Authority under the auspices of the office of the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Local Organizing Committee for the Formalization of the Informal Economy at the Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations, Social and Economic Affairs Committee, Steering Committee and the General Council of the TUC (Ghana).
ACADEMICS
Academically, I hold Degree in Business Administration-Human Resource Management and a Diploma in Theology.
Pursuing Masters in International Business with Law.
OTHER COURSES UNDERTAKEN
I have undertaken courses and training programs in different fields including Music Theory, Leadership Skills, Industrial Relations, Social Security, Occupational Health and Safety, Trade Union Management, Communication skills, Social Dialogue: Lobby, Advocacy and Negotiation Skills, Business Entrepreneurship, Financial Management, to mention a few.
